Global eCommerce Category Manager

Job Description

Responsibilities:

•    Adapt category strategies to eCommerce channels to help support the story of how to win in eCommerce
•    Lead the adoption and implementation of our eCommerce category strategy across local markets
•    Build compelling category stories for how to win in eCommerce
•    Share internally insights that define our strategy and activation across ecommerce channels (Grocery online, Q Commerce, Aggregators)
•    Lead strategic category eCommerce projects with eRetailers at International level and with local Markets
•    Client facing With relevant counterparts on eShopper journey (Merch, UK, CX, content, service)
•    Build the image of eCommerce category expert with key eRetailers
•    Product Portfolio mapping across category, brands, market, channels & outline range opportunities
•    Range benchmark vs competitors eCommerce Range
•    Lead the internal approval of New product development or new product entry to new market
•    Market deep dive/Retailer deep dive
•    Hero skus, campaigns analysis and recommendations
•    Outline promo mechanics relevant across channels and according to price pack architecture
•    Build framework for evaluating promo efficiencies in combination with media to deliver positive ROI
•    Work cross functionally to develop Shopper campaigns for eCommerce channels across top markets
•    Support with Content creation – coordinate and monitor content gaps, and outline action the action plan with internal teams and agency
•    Outline and bring awareness of our Content strategy to be future proof, tailored across channels (Retailer level)
•    Lead across all channels/markets, excluding DTC, Content implementation with support of Global Business Managers – by building and Maintaining Scorecard tracker to outline progress
•    Identify key trends that will impact the market and our business; plus new disruptors which provide new go to market models (marketplace, Qcommerce, social commerce)

For this role as a Global eCommerce Category Manager, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:
•    Min 5 years’ experience in FMCG/Retail/Consumer Products etc
•    3-5 years category management experience in traditional Sales Channels 
•    E-commerce experience is a plus
•    Strategy building experience
•    Analytical mindset – create, analyze data and then activate those insights
•    Ability to build relationships, engage stakeholders, communicate effectively
•    Ability to balance big picture with being in the detail
•    Consumer & shopper focus
•    Ability to create strong relationships across internal departments and external agencies & retailers
•    Ability to set and achieve goals and manage multiple projects and priorities
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
