Job Description

The Global Technology Manager Data & Analytics CPG Sales is part of the Global Information Services (GIS) Retail Sales function department. The GIS Global CPG function acts as a technology partner for Global Retail Sales department. By improving operational excellence of the global Retail Sales business functions of JDE– we strengthen the core purpose of our company: to bring a coffee for every cup.

In this role you will provide guidance for functional and technical IT solutions. Working alongside with the Business, you will advise on conformance to JDE IT standards such as but not limited to JDE IT Design Principals and adherence to Global Functional template(s).

Moreover, you will act in a governance role to running projects both Strategic and Tactical thus provide the required oversight to safeguard and ensure a reliable, repeatable and quality delivery to the multiple global Retail Sales business function.

You will report directly to the Global Technology CoE Manager – CPG Sales and in a dotted line to the Global Technology CoE Manager – Data & Analytics.


Responsibilities:

  • Consulting with and co-select with Infrastructure & Shared Platforms, IT Reporting tooling that is fit-for-purpose and also conforms to the shared IT technical and functional standards
  • Creating the functional design of IT Reporting solutions: assisting in gathering and validating requirements resulting in providing reporting solution recommendations
  • Providing oversight & approval on the Reporting software development lifecycle: build, deployment and maintenance, incl. change management, user adoption, and support on complex issues
  • Being the co-partner with the central D&A department (part of the Infrastructure & Shared Platforms department) and other relevant parties to ensure operational excellence in full alignment with the corporate IT Technical and functional standards.

 For this role as a Global Technology Manager Data & Analytics CPG Sales we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

Must have:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems or related field;
  • Over 7 Year experience in IT and Business/Industry work, with a specific focus on Data & Analytics reporting solutions to support business operations;
  • Strong business acumen, understanding the business processes, their performance drivers, measures and the details of their definitions;
  • Deep understanding of SAP BW, HANA, SDS, Microsoft Power-BI, Azure Cloud;
  • Experience in Data Architecture, warehousing, governance, security & privacy, quality, MDM standards, analytical models and tools, working with structured & unstructured data;
  • Deep understanding of the evolving Data & Analytics world on both the demand side (how people/companies are using technology) and the supply side (emerging technologies);
  • Excellent Analytical, Strategic & Consulting Skills combined with Project Management experience;
  • Experience with large global implementation programs in process lead roles, working with third parties on design thinking, application selection, blue printing, build, testing, deployment and user training;
  • Business Proficiency in English with proven stakeholder management capability within complex multi-national and multi-cultural business environments.

 

Preferred:

  • Industry experience with an FMCG company;
  • Exposure to next generation Reporting tooling like (but not limited to) Alteryx, MS Azure Analytics, SAP Business Objects;
  • Exposure to next generation tooling AI and Machine learning;
  • Knowledge of Applied Mathematics or Statistics & their application in advanced scientific techniques to analyse data;
  • Exposure to Corporate Data Scientist roles and/or advanced corporate RGM projects.
