Job Description

As a result of an internal promotion, we are looking for a Finance Business Partner, or FP&A Specialist as we’d like to call you internally, to be the Finance business partner to the Marketing division of JDE in New Zealand. This is a great opportunity to use your financial expertise while gaining commercial experience and to be at the forefront of all of JDE New Zealand’s exciting innovations. Our current FP&A Specialist has, for example, put together the business case for Moccona and Cadbury mixes which are now advertised and sold in stores. Are you up for this challenge? 

You will be based in our office in East Tamaki, Auckland, where we currently have a hybrid work policy (3 days WFO / 2 days WFH).

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with Marketing and oversee the Advertising and Promotion Spend (A&P)
  • Be the Finance lead for JDE’s innovation pipeline and support new revenue streams through NPD business case constructions
  • Support Brand planning and analyse marketing campaigns (ROI analysis)
  • Continuously challenge the status quo across our Retail and Professional business units
  • Prepare monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations related to Marketing P&L
  • Support with internal control, ad hoc analysis and continuous improvements

For this role as a Finance Business Partner we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree and you have or are working towards a CPA or CA qualification
  • You ideally have a few years of experience in a similar role, working as a financial business partner with a commercial team within FMCG
  • You are an expert in accounting and SAP
  • You have great attention to detail and enjoy data analysis
  • You like to take a leading role in the creation of business cases and have commercial acumen
  • You have excellent stakeholder management skills and enjoy working with both our Marketing and Finance teams
